Abstract

A primary component is a dramatic illustration of the impact of training on the skill of a conversation partner and the difference this makes to how the aphasic adult is perceived. The DVD, which provides the conceptual framework for our training package, is useful for in services to health professionals such as nurses, physicians, and social workers, in terms of motivation for expanding knowledge and skill as well as increasing awareness of the long term psychosocial implications of aphasia"-- The Aphasia Institute website.
